ChartWise is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Key Point: By default, all your tracking data is stored locally on your device and never leaves your device. We do not have access to your personal tracking data unless you explicitly choose to use cloud backup features.
Information We Collect
Local Data (Not collected by us)
The following data is stored only on your device:
- Custom trackers you create
- Data points and values you log
- Goals and progress
- Widget configurations
- App preferences
Account Information (Optional)
If you create an account for premium features:
- Email address
- Account authentication data
- Subscription status
Cloud Backup Data (Optional Premium Feature)
If you enable cloud backup:
- Your tracking data is encrypted and stored securely
- Data is used solely for backup and sync purposes
- You can delete all cloud data at any time
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core app functionality
- To sync data across devices (if cloud backup is enabled)
- To process subscription payments
- To send important service notifications
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
Advertising
The free version of ChartWise displays ads provided by Google AdMob. These ads may use device identifiers to show relevant advertisements. Premium subscribers do not see any ads.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:
- Cloud service providers (for backup storage, if enabled)
- Payment processors (for subscription management)
- Advertising partners (for free tier ad display)
- Law enforcement (if required by law)

Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it. Cloud backup data is retained until you delete your account or specifically request data deletion. Account information is deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
Children's Privacy
ChartWise is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
